Hey Doc, I've been looking at your website here, and it doesn't look like anybody visits anymore. What happened? :(

Oh, there it is. Still can't get to it, as is covered with a cover, and too tight to work in there. Need to remove the oil pan at least, just to expose the dang thing! I had a Harley mechanic come to the house the other day, and he just shook his head and told me to have it towed to a shop! LOL

    Reply from AlaskanPatriot:

Yeah, you'll have to remove some things to have access to the starter. And, you'll need to remove the Primary Cover to be able to remove the starter.

I have heard that the starters on those Indians weren't very good, and that a more powerfull one is needed.

OK Doc, here's my latest stupid question. Where is the starter on my S&S? Is it hidden inside the primary case? I found out how to test it from some articles on the Internet, but I've got to find the damn thing first! LOL

    Reply from AlaskanPatriot:

    Hey Joe -

You starter motor should be located under the oil tank, above the transmission.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Doc. BTW, it's been fairly difficult trying to get this message to you, seeing as had to join yuku.com to post it. Is there still a way to contact you via the Roadwarrior messaging system? -Joe (ghost)
